Voice lessons tailored to your goals
Hi! I’m Kat. I’m a voice teacher who has helped students find their voice, build their confidence, and reach their goals. What can I help you achieve?
My Promise
I firmly believe that success in the voice studio and beyond starts with a learner-centered environment. I want to borrow from the “Servant Leader” concept created by Robert Greenleaf. This is the notion that serving must come first and leadership second through empathy, stewardship, listening, and a commitment to the growth of others. How can that align with vocal pedagogy? By putting the student at the center of the learning process, you are dedicating the lesson to serving their learning, through tailored teaching strategies, collaboration, promoting a growth mindset, and humility.
Real expertise
In order to teach Classical, Musical Theatre, and CCM genres I believe that you need to actually sing those genres. Not only have I studied, researched, and practiced these genres—I’ve taken lessons and performed them myself
West Michigan and Beyond
I am located in Grand Rapids MI and everywhere via virtual lessons! Worried about the effectiveness of a virtual voice lesson? I’ve got the technology and expertise to make sure you learn just as much from the comfort of your own home as you would in the voice studio!
